New NOOK Books: "

April, as T.S. Eliot wrote, is the cruelest month. It’s also
National Poetry Month, so if you haven’t yet added some verse to your NOOK,
now’s your chance.

While many poetry fans favor the classics, it’s always
interesting to support burgeoning poets as they hone their craft. One such
American poet is Anthony Carelli, whose first collection, Carnations, is
available now. Carelli’s work—which has appeared in The New Yorker, among other prestigious periodicals—rivals the
depth and skill of poets twice (or three times) his age. He confidently explores
pedestrian subjects—like a game of Frisbee—and finds the small instances of the sublime within them.

Poetry lovers should also follow us on Twitter@BNBuzz—as
we tweet 4 poems, including one of Carelli’s works, throughout the month.

NOOK owners: go to shop, and search “Anthony Carelli“ to
download this debut collection.
